Q. What are LashBeauty eyelash extensions?

They are Premium quality synthetic eyelash extensions that are bonded to your own natural eyelash by a specially formulated adhesive.  They have a natural J-shaped curl, replicating the shape of natural long lashes.  It creates a very natural look.  Eyelashes not only become longer, but thicker and darker as well.  They are waterproof, smudge-proof, weightless, and available in different lengths to create the desired effect.

They are perfect for special events like weddings and graduations. Alternatively they can be incorporated into your regular beauty regime.  It’s no different than getting your nails or your hair done every couple of weeks.

Q. How safe are the adhesive and adhesive remover?

As with any adhesive or adhesive remover, it is vital that it does not come in contact with the eye, be swallowed, or inhaled.  Great care is taken to ensure that they do not come in contact with the eye.  There is no known adhesive, or adhesive remover that is safe for contact with the eyes surface.  It is for this reason that LashBeauty extensions should only be applied by a trained professional.

Q. I already have long eyelashes, are there benefits for me in having LashBeauty Extensions?

Anyone can get LashBeauty extensions and notice an immediate improvement in their appearance.  They can make their already long lashes thicker and darker.  They can create thicker lashes for people who have fine light-coloured lashes.  The great thing is you can decide on the desired look.

Some people want a natural look while some people prefer long lashes for dramatic looks at special events.  Each set of lashes is specially designed to accommodate your personal preference.

Lash Extensions are ideal for the older woman who finds that their natural lashes are beginning to thin.  The extensions add fullness, resulting in eyes that look younger and more refreshed.

Q. Why haven’t I heard of eyelash extensions before?

The art of eyelash extensions is fairly new in Australia.  However, it’s one of the hottest beauty trends Asia, Europe, and North America.  It is only recently Hollywood celebrities are sharing their best-kept secret for mesmerizing eyes.  It’s not just the makeup.  According to celebrity make up artist, Vincent Longo, ”They (eyelash extensions) are the best-kept secret in making the stars’ eyes shine so bright.”

Hollywood has always been a leader in beauty trends.  With all the hot starlets and pop stars getting eyelash extensions, it won’t be long until the woman of Australia are asking for them as well.  Now that the secret is out, you will find more celebrities admitting to getting them done.

Stars who have had lash extensions are Paris Hilton, Tyra Banks, Lindsey Lohan, Hilary Duff, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Jessica and Ashley Simpson, Mischa Barton from the OC, Victoria Beckham, Naomi Campbell, and Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria.  The list goes on and on…

Now you can have those beautiful lashes as well!

Q. How are LashBeauty extensions different from false eyelashes currently sold in department stores?

Traditional false eyelashes are typically made with a strip or with multiple lashes knotted together and are applied directly on to the eyelid using an adhesive formula that dries hard on the eyelid and lashes.  They usually only last 1-2 days.

Each LashBeauty lash is applied to the individuals natural lashes.  By doing so, it is looks completely natural.  They are weightless so you’ll forget they’re even there… until you receive a compliment on how beautiful your eyes are!

Q. I already use mascara. Why should I get LashBeauty extensions?

Wouldn’t you love to wake up every morning and look refreshed and already made up without the need to go through the tedious application of mascara?  With LashBeauty extensions, you no longer need to worry about your mascara smudging, or clumping.  You can even forget about those eyelash curlers, there’s no need for them anymore.

Q. What is the procedure for getting LashBeauty eyelash extensions?

  1. Your lower eyelashes are protected by medical adhesive tape (this does not hurt).  You close your eyes and just relax.
  2. Your eyes and your natural eyelashes are then cleaned and wiped.
  3. Your eyelashes are combed to ensure they are not overlapping or tangled.
  4. Each individual lash is then dipped in the adhesive and applied onto your own individual natural eyelash.  The adhesive will never come in contact with the skin.
  5. Approximately 25-50 lashes are required per each eye. However, it varies for each person.
  6. Once the application is complete, the medical tape is removed and the procedure is complete.  You open your eyes to find that your eyelashes have been transformed into thick luscious lashes.

Q. How long do LashBeauty Extensions last?

They are a semi-permanent product, lasting 3-6 weeks.  Many factors will affect the life of the lash extensions.  Keep in mind that your own natural lashes shed naturally.  This varies for each person. In general, your own natural lash cycle, your lifestyle, and aftercare will affect how long the lashes last.  Touch ups are recommended every 2-3 weeks, depending on your individual needs. Humidity and moisture will also affect the life of the eyelash extensions.

Q. Why are touch ups necessary?

Your natural eyelashes continue to grow in a replenishing cycle.  Since the extensions are bonded to your own natural lash, you may need to refill the areas where your own natural lash has fallen out.  Touch-ups keep the lashes looking fresh.  Touch ups generally take 15-45 minutes, depending on how many lashes have fallen out.  Each person’s eyelashes fall out at different intervals.  Getting touch ups is similar to getting your nails filled. The point is, you only fill in the ones that need it, it’s not necessary to get a new set every time.

In a 2 week period, around 4-10 lashes will fall from each eye, and some of those are the ones where the extension was bonded to. It should be explained to the clients that getting re-fills is not something they can avoid since we have no control of which lashes fall out and how quickly their own natural lashes shed.

Q. How long does the original application take?

Depending on how dramatic you want the lashes to look, the procedure takes between 90-120 minutes.  It is very relaxing.  There is nothing you need to do except to lay down, and to keep your eyes closed.  It is completely painless.  When you open your eyes, you will find thicker more captivating eyelashes.

Q. Will the Lash extensions pull out my natural lashes?

In general, the lash extensions will not pull out your natural lashes.  However, if you pull on the extensions, your natural lash may come off with the extension.  But do not worry; your natural lashes will grow back.  Do not attempt to remove the extensions yourself; otherwise you will pull out your own natural lashes.  Removals should be done by a professional in order to preserve your own natural eyelashes.

Q. Can I still wear eye make-up?

Of course you can!  However, waterproof mascara is not recommended, but you won’t need it anyways.  Many people even find they no longer need eyeliner. Avoid petroleum-based products as they break down the bonding on the lashes.  If you wear eye make-up, it is important to use a oil-free make-up remover.  Be gentle when removing the make-up, avoid motions that may tug on the eyelash.  We recommend using a cotton swab.  Apply the make-up remover to the cotton swab and use it to remove eye makeup. For those who feel they must mascara, try our Volume Up Mascara which is water soluble and is safe for use on our eyelash extension products.

Q. How are LashBeauty Eyelash extension products different from those from other companies?

Extensive research has been done to find the highest quality products to introduce to Australia.  There are countless inferior products available.  Eyelash extensions originally created in Asia.  Korea is the industry leader when it comes to producing products for the art of eyelash extensions.

Our lashes are the most natural looking.  They are J shaped, instead of C shaped.  The J shaped curve imitates the natural gradual curve of the natural lash.

By purchasing directly from the manufacturer in Korea, we not only provide exceptional products, but are able to offer them at outstanding prices.

Eyelash Extensions Beauty Technicians and customers have found that products manufactured in China, specifically the glue, are of poor quality. Issues raised with these products include glue that clumps when being applied or doesn't dry quick enough; the fumes from the glue causing a customer's eyes to tear; eyelashes that don't retain their shape after being applied; and glue remover that stings. LashBeauty products do not display any of these problems. They are manufactured by one of the leading Korean companies specializing in Eyelash Extension products. They are constantly improving their products as new technology and ingredients become available.
